MF Certification
With effect from 1st Jun'10, certification program for mutual fund distributor is managed by National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust, established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator for securities markets in India.
How to appear for NISM Examination?
- You can register for NISM examination through NSE/BSE or MCX Stock Exchange.
- The examination fee for NISM Certification is Rs. 1000/-. You will get the hard copy of workbook from NISM when you enroll for the exam.
- The examination will be of 100 marks, will have 100 questions, and should be completed in 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 25% of the marks assigned to a question. The passing score for the examination is 50%.
- Please ensure that you mention PAN no. in the registration form for exam. Certificate will be dispatched by NISM only if the PAN No. is mentioned.
- The certificate will be valid for 3 years from the date of the examination.
How to appear for CPE (Continued Professional Education) Refresher Course?
- You can register for NISM examination through NSE/BSE or MCX Stock Exchange.
- The examination fee for NISM Certification is Rs. 1000/-. You will get the hard copy of workbook from NISM when you enroll for the exam.
- The examination will be of 100 marks, will have 100 questions, and should be completed in 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 25% of the marks assigned to a question. The passing score for the examination is 50%.
- Please ensure that you mention PAN no. in the registration form for exam. Certificate will be dispatched by NISM only if the PAN No. is mentioned.
- The certificate will be valid for 3 years from the date of the examination.

The participants need to carry the following documents:
- Copy of ARN Card (kindly carry the original AMFI or NISM Certificate (in case of employees who do not have ARN cards in their own name)
- Copy of PAN Card (kindly the original for verification)-Mandatory
- 2 passport size photographs
- Registration form (will send you with the CPE details for each location later)
